Where to start? It was quiet the last couple of months and we were thinking that was down to football, rugby and cricket events plus last month a truck show, so this month with over 40 drivers we are back.

We try and get things right all the time but sometimes we mess, this month was one. Due to some messed up communications we landed up with a couple of yards in the wrong places. Sorry to those involved and thanks for swapping around. This month all the yards were booked but still on the day we had two empty ones, if you book a yard and cannot come, please let us know so that we can re-allocate.

Did you notice the fuel station kiosk? still a work in progress but its there and will be improved in time.

The last couple of meetings It has been mentioned that it would be nice to have a dual carriageway. In theory it is possible but in practice we would need more rubber, central reservation, road markings and junctions. We can do all that BUT we have no room in the trailer. A bigger trailer then, well I think we are at the limit with what we can do with a single axle unbraked trailer, so there is the biggest sticking point.

Is there anything else you would like to see?

Back to the meeting and a big thanks to those that come and help with set up every month. We could do it without you but it is so much easier with you all helping. Yes! a busier meeting with a lot of old faces but also a big welcome to the new people that came, hope you enjoyed it. Also thanks to those that renewed their membership, it allows you to have a say in the running of the club, we need that now and to secure the clubs future. Which reminds me That Duncan Perryman is now a committee member so say hi to him when you see him.

Oh, it got very dark outside and the lights went out lots af trucks with lights and an extended meeting to make the best of the dark. A lot more people stayed on than we had expected so thanks to you all and hope you all had a safe journey home.

On to the pictures, plus there are loads more on the internet. Please feel free to share but credit the club and person who took them.

Finally Many thanks to Jack Hill for thinking about and providing the stands for the rememberance photo opportunity. Lets see your pictures
