The second meeting of this club year and scheduled for the AGM and timings extended due to that.

As you should be aware, the club is set up as a limited not for profit company, because of that we have a responsibility to report to the members on the state of the club, respond to questions and to have elections for vacant officers. Disappointingly, there were no questions, and no one had been nominated for one of the vacant positions. As such the AGM was simply a statement by the Chairman (Rob Briggs) on how he sees the club and a statement on the current club finances. The Committee did however co-opt Duncan Perryman as a committeee member without portfolio. If you are interested in helping, then please do talk to one of us as we do need to think of the clubs future.

Back to the trucks! We had fewer people than normal but put that down to the glorious weather and a few events going on. We had planned to put a crossroads in this time but it seemed harder to build on the ground that it looks on paper, in the end someone came up with the idea of a mini roundabout.   I think the roundabout was a great idea but,as always, we are open to feedback and ideas

Stu introduced an oval running area outside the hall specifically for children or others that feel they need a bit of practice and another idea from Stu saw the introduction of other food items, crisps, cans of drink, and chocolate bars - all for a small charge.

A couple of things about reduced numbers. First there is more space and that makes it a bit easier to do things and gives more driving room and second, it takes some pressure of the team and allows us to do things for ourselves, like run a truck!

I did run mine and enjoyed that, I did see a couple of people videoing the wheel loader being loaded so look out for those. On the down side, the loaded rig is a bit heavy and it did start to move the road (so note to self - bring the dolly).

As is getting to be the norm, we had some lovely trucks present again, it is nice to see new ones coming along.

Before we get to the pictures, do you have any ideas on how we could improve the layout, visually or functionally? If so, please speak to us.

Thank you all for coming and making the meetings what they are.
