Sunday saw our penultimate meet of our 2025 season.

As we move into summer, holidays and other events come to the fore, so a big thank you to Pete Gisborne for stepping into Daz’s shoes to manage the layout set up and tear down with much appreciated assistance from our members who supported our much depleted set up crew this month.

It was good to see the C&J Recovery back this month, to provide recovery services, I noticed a different red Scania in tow this month!
The yards all looked very busy this month, with more and more detail being added, we certainly have some talented members in our club.

Allan has updated the club trommel with some new 3D printed parts over the last couple of weeks and it is certainly an impressive machine.
Unfortunately, technical issues happen all the time, and the belt controller decided to give up the ghost, so feeding the trommel was difficult.
Hopefully Allan is at his repair bench as I write this, and all good is for Devon Truck Show (Done as you were sending this :) ) .

As usual there were a few models and items up for sale. It is perhaps a good time to remind members, that the Club can take no responsibility for the quality or operational functionality of any items purchased from another member, please ensure you are happy with your potential purchase before parting with your cash, and any issue is strictly between you and the seller, and not the Club.

Sadly it was time to say farewell to one of the Club’s long standing members, John Bates, who is shortly relocating back up North, I would like to say thank you to John for his unwavering support for the club, we are all going to miss his wry sense of humour, and we would like to wish all the very best for the future in Yorkshire, wherever that is! Remember John, you are more than welcome to visit us again in the future, you know the 11 hour round trip will be worth it!

Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who attended on Sunday, and remember, the upcoming June meet is our last meet of the season, so let’s make it an another good one!
