Our recent meeting at Weston-Super Mare held on Sunday 13th April 2025 was another great success, with strong support from members who attended. While the number of yards was lower than usual, the atmosphere more than made up for it — there was plenty of social activity and good spirits all around.

A special treat was in store for our junior members, who were delighted to receive Easter eggs – always a hit!

April marked a time of transition for the club. We saw the full handover of the front desk from Nicola to Mandie – thank you, Nicola, for your hard work, and welcome aboard, Mandie! We also saw changes in yard management, with Stuart passing the Welfare and Yard Manager role over to Pete Gisbourne, and Daz Knight stepping up to take on yard management and setup. A big thank you to all involved for keeping things running smoothly.

It was fantastic to see members who had traveled from afar, including Curtis Smyth and Sam Cheers – your efforts to join us are truly appreciated. A special shoutout to Sam Cheers for going the extra mile and acting as courier for Ian Moulsdale, ensuring a truck was safely returned to its owner after some Stickeez work.

In Allan Sillitto’s absence, and without access to the quarry yard, we got creative and introduced a driving challenge. It proved extremely popular and brought an extra level of fun and skill to the day.

As always, the quality of the yards on display was outstanding – a real credit to everyone involved.

Finally, a heartfelt thanks to Lyn for the return of the sausage baps – they were very much appreciated by all!

Here’s to more great meetings ahead!
