Our October meet was very well attended indeed.

Very nice to see some new faces attending – and taking membership! Some very well-travelled people from as far as West Wales and the Midlands, Plymouth and Cornwall. Always good to see our regular visitors and membership rising.

We incorporated our AGM into the meeting. This ran swiftly and smoothly, with the re-election of two officers, Chair and Vice Chair. Rob and Paul were happy to remain in their current roles for a further year.

We heard the treasurer's report from Nicola and an entertaining and informative Chairman's report from Rob.

No new officers were suggested, and the members did not submit any questions for the Committee to answer, so everything is good!

Yards were a great feature again, including an aptly decorated Halloween theme from the Parfitt and Rees family—did you all see it? The standard of yards is getting better and better with every meet.

We have added detail to the layout and this meeting saw the introduction of traffic lights with crossing bleepers! A nice touch indeed from our very own Allan. What did you all think about the new layout, with part of the roadway going behind the yards? What about the interesting junction on a bend? New challenges.  We strive to keep things fresh with the layout and member input is always welcomed. It's all for you guys, so let's have those ideas.

Some fantastic models on the layout yesterday, from the latest offerings out of the IDW stable, showcased by a new member, to the amazing heritage showmans vehicles built by our regular attendees. The build quality is very high from all our members and the liveries and decals are superb.

Catering was ably supplied by Claire and Paul who kept everyone refreshed, and the tuck shop sold out of many lines. Thank you!

Our attendance is up and that means we must be getting it right.

Thanks to everyone on our staff and our brilliant layout team.

Keep up the good work everyone!
