The first featured truck of 2023 is that of Jack Moulsdale. It is a modified Tamiya heavy recovery truck that looks fantastic and works well.
Tamiya's truck is based on an Actros cab but the first change to this truck was the use of a OEM Arocs grill. More additions come in the form of a roof bar from Miroslaw Gorski, two Verkerk beacon bars, Alloy Wheels with in hub reducers, Exhaust stacks, working side marker lights with strobes and more inside the cab.
Standard Tamiya steering is always a bit of an issue so that has also been replaced with a set from KK truck store.
The Electronics are all Servonaut except for the actuator. The actuator is the Tamiya one but it is run from an OEM esc controlled by a switch on the transmitter.
The whole thing runs from a Tamiya DX9 transmitter, Ian, Jacks dad, did say that the one problem they had was that the transmitter came pre-bound to the receiver but was in airplane mode, they converted to mid stick with the switches on the rear but forgot to rebind to reset the failsafe! so just a reminder to check yours!
